Open Lab was commissioned to refresh
the 2017 awards theme, event collateral
and strengthen the visual look and feel
to align with last year's sleek redesign of
the NZFA trophy.
With increasing competition in the food awards sector, we reinvigorated the NZFAs' prestigious status with updated emblems to mark their longstanding commitment to the industry in recognising food excellence.
A combination of emotive imagery and fresh colours were employed to create the right balance between tradition and innovation.
The design was kept clean and professional to reflect the excellence that NZFA endorses.
We created a more accessible and user-centric website focusing on the heritage of NZFA, using storytelling and navigation to guide users through the entering process – from why they should enter through to submitting their entry.
The refreshed NZ Food Awards brand brings an aura of prestige, showcasing their brand mission of promoting and endorsing excellence in the NZ food industry.
